Burleson Bass Club Statement

Burleson Bass Club was started in 1972.  It is one of the oldest bass clubs around the Dallas Ft. Worth area. It seems like every body you can think of has fished in this club one time or another. The club consist of a President, Vice-President, Sectary/ Treasure and Board of Directors in which are elected each year by the membership.

The Burleson bass club averages 20-25 members, hoping to have more this year. The tournament schedule is Feb.- Oct. On the second Sunday after the monthly meetings. The lakes are voted on at each meeting by the members in good standing.

Entry fees for the club are once a year. The entry is set at 200.00 dollars. The $200 includes big bass (3 places) and 3 fish stringer (5 places). We also have a side pot for the first bass over 6 lbs. The side pot is optional ($3x10 months=$30 for the year), and renews after each payout. If no one catchs a 6 lb or larger bass during the season, the whole pot goes to the big bass at our year end tournament, no matter the weight. The fees can be payed out in the first 3 months of the year. The club has  a year end tournament if you qualified at no cost.

The Burleson Bass Club's main objectives are to maintain a high standard of true sportsmanship and promote social relationships among its members.  To promote more successful fishing by providing information through an exchange of ideas and methods.  The club from time to time will sponsor fishing tournaments for the purpose of stimulating interests and promoting healthy competetion among club members and between other clubs of like nature.  Burleson Bass Club holds high standards in conservation and ecology and shall remain registered with the state of Texas as a non-profit organization.
